    Mysql connect error

hopefully this will be the last time i have to do this. When the zabbix server trys to start up, the following is in the zabbix_server.log file. I am not familiar enough with Mysql and zabbix interaction on how to attempt this. The zabbix database is built (as per the instrutions again). Sql server is running.

    15393:20090831:142459 Starting zabbix_server. ZABBIX 1.6.5 (revision 7442).

It seems by default the binaries for RH ES5 points the mysql.sock file to /var/lib/mysql. Zabbix wants to look for it under /tmp. One needs to either change the zabbix (which should be simplier), or load the sources for RH ES5 and recompile. Where in the zabbix files points to the mysql.sock location?

      The last line of zabbix_server.conf

Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.
