PingerFrequency? icmpping and tick woes.

I'm using 1.1alpha10. icmpping and tick have never returned any values. Why is this? They are both configured as simple checks. I noticed the docs speciy PingerFrequency, but where is this specified? anyone have examples of this working?

Right off the bat, I suspect that you don't have fping installed, or if you do that it is not executable by the Zabbix server user.

I had changed fping to just call ping. My assumption that they are "similar enough" was false. I've also found PingerFrequency in the conf file which I changed and restarted zabbix_server. I now have data for ping checks after installing fping and changing the conf file.

But, Tick is still not.. ticking....

Checking the manual.. I cannot find tick. Was this removed? I swear I got it out of the Zabbix manual.. but it's not in there now... I will switch to ping instead.

Hmmm, not familiar with that one. Can you point me to the Docs where you saw this referenced please?
