    how to add ldap users

    Hello,

After configuring the ldap authentication on Zabbix, I got an LDAP Login successful, however I was wondering how to add my ldap users now ? I mean can we list the ldap users and pick-up them ?

I haven't seen anything about this in the manual.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ransu

You need to manually add the users to Zabbix gui. Administration -> Users -> Create User

The user name must be the same as configured in your ldap server, no need to add password when creating the user. When the user logs in, his/her password is checked with the ldap server.

So, i am configure the Authentication LDAP Settings with success.
I am using FreeIPA Server to centralize my users, when i create LDAP User in Zabbix Web Interface creates with success, but cannot login with LDAP Password (no other password too).

Hi your Base DN is looking at admin only change so it starts at cn=users and usually Samaccountname ist best to use as search attribute, at the bottom press test button to see if your config works!

Finally someone who posted what it should look like when setup. Also someone who was able to not only make Bruno's work but mine also. I got rid of the ldap://server-name.com and just put in the IP like you have above and my two day venture was over. Cudos to you Alistair0866 you are the man. Thank you so much.
