    Actions permissions

    Hello,

As Zabbix Super Admin I see 43 actions. But Zabbix Admins can see only 2 actions (most recent it seems).

I'm running server 1.8.3. (1.8.4 doesn't fix that as I saw in relaese notes).

I have checked in Zabbix manual and book, and I understand that permissions related to Actions are not allowed by group, but by user type (User, Admin, Super Admin). Is that correct ?
If Yes, why do I have this issue ?

    Many thanks for your help,
    Regards,
    Bernard

I had same issue, and I solved associating Zabbix Admin Users a User Group with permissions to read and write certain configs on certain host groups.

      Little bit better

      Thanks Italo,
Before me colleague has 2 actions, after giving him read-write permissions on all hosts, he can see 3 actions.
      But... I have 43 actions
Your tip doesn't work for me.

      Any other idea ?

Have you solved the problem if so please give me more information on that because I am having a similar problem with it. It is not detecting all the action and also it does not work on the configuration correctly. Please do send some information on the matter and thanks.

          No news

          Hello,

No news yet. I will open an incident next week.
All actions work properly, but "Zabbix admin" users don't see all of them (and can not managed them).

          Regards,

zabbix admin only sees those actions where he is also member of same user groups as target users/usergroups in the operations of that action

              Thanks

              Thanks richlv,

Your answer is clear, but I don't like it

If I want my "Zabbix Admin" to be able to manage all actions, I need to promote them to "Zabbix Super Admin".

Does Zabbix will change that in a future release ?

              Regards,

or that admin must be in all those usergroups. basically they should not be able to discover all other users & groups on a system just by going to action configuration.

there are no short term plans to change this.

                  OK, it makes sense.

As a lazy admin I will promote the "Admin" to "Super Admin" instead of thinking about the design of groups.

                  Many thanks.

                    Hi ,

Try to clone the Super Admin role and have these settings enabled at least. The users now assigned to this role should be able to see the problem actions.
