    Graphs - Not being Displayed

    Hi All,

I've just installed Zabbix 1.8.5 on Centos for testing as I want to implement this later on a live system. The installation went well and as per attached picture the zabbix server status is monitored, however graphs are not being displayed, also attached.

Can I have some assistance since I'm new to Zabbix.

Hope I can get replies soon.

    Regards,

        Hi Thanks for your reply,

Where can I find the zabbix agent command to restart. If I restart the machine which I've already did more then once does make effect?

        Regards,
        Brian Stivala

Try service zabbix_agentd start on monitored server.

I've decided to install everything form the beginning. Now the agent has started how ever the server it's not starting. Any Ideas regarding below?

            [root@zabbix /]# /etc/init.d/zabbix_server start
            usage: /usr/local/zabbix/sbin/zabbix_server (start|stop|restart|help)

            start - start zabbix_server
            stop - stop zabbix_server
restart - restart zabbix_server if running by sending a SIGHUP or start if not running
            help - this screen

/etc/init.d/zabbix_server start: zabbix_server could not be started

Can you confirm that file /usr/local/zabbix/sbin/zabbix_server exists ?

Also, I find this start script strange, not the same I use with my installation.
Which version of Zabbix are you using ?

Ok, I now saw you installed 1.8.5.

I have another question, where is located your zabbix_server.conf file ?
Try starting it with the following command:

                    /usr/local/zabbix/sbin/zabbix_server -c /your/path/to/zabbix_server.conf

No /usr/local/zabbix/sbin/zabbix_server does not exist, and just to remind you that I did a new fresh installation of Zabbix 1.8.10.

                        Hi,

                        Did you disable SELinux?

                          Ok,

so first of all you must locate it (i recommend running this: updatedb && locate zabbix_server) It is commonly located at /usr/local/sbin.

Then you should locate your zabbix_server.conf file. If it doesn't exists, you could use the one provided as an example at "misc/conf/" directory inside the zabbix-v1.8.10.tar.gz file you downloaded from the web.

Then just run the zabbix_server (the one you located) with -c option followed by the path to zabbix_server.conf file.

Please try it and comment results.

                            SElinux is disabled.

                            There is nothing in /usr/local/bin.

The file is located here /root/zabbix-1.8.10/misc/conf/zabbix_server.conf

                              check configuration

You provided location in the source repository, for 1.8.x I believe you should copy configuration files to /etc/zabbix and make adjustments according to your environment.

Another issue which I had with Fedora and not on Ubuntu is that I had to explicitly add firewall rules in order to enable communication between server and agent. You should check firewall rules on both server and agent.
