Config template items and triggers hangs

I was adding some items to our linux template and the web interface has stopped responding at times. For example, I can go to config triggers, but when I try to go to the 2nd screen, it hangs.

Zabbix version 1.8.10 on RHEL 5.8, mysql 5.0.95, everything is on one server.

I think the last trigger I added to the template must be the cause. It is disabled, if I "hide disabled triggers", navigation works. I can navigate 3 of the 4 item screens for the template, just not the one that links to the bad trigger.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I restored the database to the prior night's backup and it's OK now.

I would be interesting to find the root cause and file a bug to the tracker...
a trigger is not supposed to be able to hang the frontend :-)

My guess is it's something bad in the database, but I don't know how to debug it.
