UserParameter problem on Zabbix_agentd 2.0

Maybe you have two agents:

One from version 1.8.x, second from 2.0

Check
# netstat -an | grep "LISTEN"

if you listen on 0.0.0.0 (all IP's) or only on one IP or only on localhost?

Try:

ps axf | grep zabbix

Well..

I listen to 0.0.0.0
and the output of netstat -an | grep "LISTEN" gives, among other lines,

tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:10050 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:10051 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

And I don't seem to have multiple agents running : ps axf | grep zabbix gives the following :

24699 ? S 6:00 \_ zabbix_agentd -c /usr/local/etc/zabbix_agentd.conf

I'm busy setting up release 2.0.2. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist installing it before my vacation ...

I've just upgraded my Zabbix_server, and one agent, to 2.0.2 ,and.... IT WORKS

my simple test and apparently all my userparameter script are now working correctly...

What is your Agent version? 2.0? (ok, I see you told as 2.0)

What is your 'Server' line?

Yes, my agent and server were 2.0.

'Server' line, you mean in the zabbix_agentd.conf ?
well
Server=<IP of my server>

note that, for my test, the agent I upgraded is running on the same machine as the server.

I know that you found the solution, but remember if you want to check the agent localy, then the Server line has to have "localhost" included, like this:

Server=IP_SERVER,localhost

Then, agent will allow to connect to itself in passive mode FROM IP_SERVER and localhost.
