    Zabbix send old alert

    Hi all,

    I'm using Zabbix 2.0.3 on my company. I have a very strange issue.
    Zabbix send me a lot of old alert by mail like that:

    Today (2012/10/15 @ 1:39 PM)

    Status : 2012.10.08 10:35:12 - OK.
    Trigger: [High] Tomcat is not running.
    Item : 10054.
    Value : *UNKNOWN*.

    Server notes: xxxx

    Trigger comment:

    How to avoid it ?

    This zabbix status:
    Parameter Value Details
    Zabbix server is running No localhost:10052
    Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates) 382 287 / 24 / 71
    Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported) 22460 11892 / 10120 / 448

    Hi,

    I noticed the old alert content a Value : *UNKNOWN*.
    I have this value on each old alert.

      The "Unknown" value is being generated by the action you have set up for the alert.

      Go to Configuration --> Actions. See where it has 3 lines listed for item values?
      If you are only reporting on one value, the others will be "Unknown" in the alert.
      Remove the excess items from your actions.

      (Note: you also see in your above message that your Zabbix server is not running, right?)
      "Zabbix server is running No localhost:10052"

        Please to see my configuration of Actions (it's very simple).

        Default subject :
        [{TRIGGER.SEVERITY}] {HOSTNAME} - {TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}

        Default message :
        Status : {EVENT.DATE} {EVENT.TIME} - {TRIGGER.STATUS}.
        Trigger: [{TRIGGER.SEVERITY}] {TRIGGER.NAME}.
        Item : {ITEM.NAME}.
        Value : {ITEM.VALUE}.

        Server notes: {PROFILE.NOTES}.

        Trigger comment: {TRIGGER.COMMENT}.
        Trigger url: {TRIGGER.URL}.

          Ok, so this is your unknown item. . Try making that {ITEM1.VALUE}

            Hi, I tested it but now I receved this text in the body of the mail alert :
            Status : 2012.09.18 10:53:49 - OK. <== still an old alert
            Trigger: [High] SQL Server is not running.
            Item : 1000.
            Value : {ITEM1.VALUE}. <== no value

            Server notes: *UNKNOWN*.

            Trigger comment: .
            Trigger url: .

              For information, I recently migrated my Zabbix Server from the 1.8.12 to the 2.0.2 and now the 2.0.3.

                I checked the value send from the zabbix agent to the zabbix server, and it's good (Latest data > Last check)

                  I noticed that the zabbix server always send this alerts since the first time it gets the value *UNKNOWN*.

                    I try the found the origine of my value *UNKNOWN* in the database.

                    Someone can tell me in which table is it store ?
