ghost trigger: trigger which we already deleted is still sending e-mails

Hi Folks,

we have an Zabbix 2.0.4 Server installation. This does its job very well but there is a ghost trigger which sends email ever and ever although we deleted this trigger long ago.

The Trigger originally comes from the "Template OS Linux"-LLD which will inform over a 90% usage a a mount point. We have deactivated the trigger and then deleted it for one host.

Interesting is, that the trigger also uses a very old message template from a former action.

We have try to restart the server process more than one times. We have try to recreate the trigger an "ack" it.

nothing should help. what goes wrong?

I can't find the trigger in `zabbix`.`escalations` in database:

This is the only entry. The description is the new one.

Try deleting all rows from the escalations table in the database.

DISCLAIMER: This will cause all current ongoing escalations to no longer perform escalation steps. This only affects the current triggers and once they go to the OK state they won't have this problem again.

What does the escalations table look like without joining any tables? You said you deleted the trigger a while ago, therefore an inner join would not show a rogue entry in the escalations table.

There was exactly one entry. Which i deleted. But the ghost trigger is still alive. I have no idea where it hides itself.

Suggestions?

ok, now it becomes more stranger. The trigger vanished last friday. afternoon so i don't have any possibility to looking for a solution.
