    Zabbix Agent causes libcurl version issues on Ubuntu 18.04

    Hello!

    It appears that during install, Zabbix Agent will attempt to remove libcurl4 from Ubuntu 18.04, which is required for php5.6-curl to exist. Obviously this is not acceptable behavior.

    Is there a way to fix this? Or will this remain "broken" until a new version is released with libcurl4 support?

    Thanks for your help!

    Are you trying to use Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) packages with Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic)?
    Wait for the Ubuntu 18.04 package to be published, or try installing from the source.

      This is still an issue on Ubuntu 18.04 (using AWS EC2 base instance from Canonical). The instructions here clearly support 18.04, but break on step 2. b. with the following:

      Code:
      ubuntu@ip-*******:~$ sudo apt install zabbix-server-pgsql zabbix-frontend-php php-pgsql zabbix-agent
      Reading package lists... Done
      Building dependency tree

      Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
      requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
      distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
      or been moved out of Incoming.
      The following information may help to resolve the situation:

      The following packages have unmet dependencies:
       zabbix-agent : Depends: libcurl4 (>= 7.16.2) but it is not installable
                      Depends: libssl1.1 (>= 1.1.0) but it is not installable
       zabbix-server-pgsql : Depends: libcurl4 (>= 7.28.0) but it is not installable
                             Depends: libevent-2.1-6 (>= 2.1.8-stable) but it is not installable
                             Depends: libsnmp30 (>= 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3~dfsg) but it is not going to be installed
                             Depends: libssl1.1 (>= 1.1.0) but it is not installable
                             Recommends: snmpd but it is not going to be installed
