    VMware stats not updating

Hi guys, I have added a VMware VCenter Server to our Zabbix 3.4.8 appliance for monitoring. The server was successfully added and all underlying clusters and hosts were discovered a required. The issue I am having is that some stats like CPU usage and Memory usage for the discoverd ESXi hosts don't seem to update as per attached screenshots. Other stats like network usage appear to update and fluctuate as expected.

Anyone have any info as to why this might be occurring ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

How many 'StartVMwareCollectors' processes do you have in the configuration file and how many VMware services do you have?

      Hey Kernbug,

I have 5 collectors but not sure what you mean about VMware services, is a service classified as a node or host ie an ESXi host, Cluster or datastore ? If so, I definitely need to increase the Collectors. I have kept the rest the of the VMware settings default.

      ### Option: StartVMwareCollectors
      # Number of pre-forked vmware collector instances.
      #
      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 0-250
      # Default:
      StartVMwareCollectors=5

      ### Option: VMwareFrequency
      # How often Zabbix will connect to VMware service to obtain a new data.
      #
      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 10-86400
      # Default:
      # VMwareFrequency=60

      ### Option: VMwarePerfFrequency
      # How often Zabbix will connect to VMware service to obtain performance data.
      #
      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 10-86400
      # Default:
      # VMwarePerfFrequency=60

      ### Option: VMwareCacheSize
      # Size of VMware cache, in bytes.
      # Shared memory size for storing VMware data.
      # Only used if VMware collectors are started.
      #
      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 256K-2G
      # Default:
      # VMwareCacheSize=8M

      ### Option: VMwareTimeout
      # Specifies how many seconds vmware collector waits for response from VMware service.
      #
      # Mandatory: no
      # Range: 1-300
      # Default:
      # VMwareTimeout=10

      Thanks

      Trev

We are collecting data for 11 ESXi hosts so I have updated StartVMwareCollectors to 22 and restarted Zabbix server but still no accurate CPU and memory data as per attached screen shot.

Anyone have any other info regarding the above issue ??? Would 22 collectors be enough to monitor 11 ESXi hosts and underlying datastores ?

I'm also having the same issues, running Zabbix 3.0.18 with Proxies.
I have StartVMwareCollectors set to 32.
