Problem with notification on unsupported items

    Hello,
I defined new action using Zabbix' 2.2 new feature that allows to receive notification on unsupported items.
However it doesn't work, in server log I see messages like:

"3122:20140125:005007.610 item [Cisco RV180 - UNIT 1:ifAdminStatusPPP] became not supported: No Such Instance currently exists at this OID" but no email is sent.

Does somebody here use this new feature and it works for them?

yep, works for me out of the box, no problems. Do you have any notifications working? Did you checked mail server logs? Can you also post some screenshots of configured action?

I have actions defined on triggers that work fine and emails are sent as expected. Nothing unusual in zabbix_server.log.
I've added screenshot of actions definitions.

Looks ok to me. Maybe there is smth wrong with you media configuration, e.g. some severity levels disabled?

Thanks for quick response, I configured Zabbix to send emails when severity level is above average (including). I will try to add "Not classified" to the list of severities that should be reported. Probably Zabbix classifies "internal events" as of "Not classified"...

Artem, you were right I defined in "Administration -> Users" to report "Not classified" events and internal action emails started to work. Thanks

                Hi Bentsi,

I have the same problem, however, I cannot figure out how you allowed "Not classified" events.

Could you please describe the steps in more detail.

                Regards, JP.
