Not getting latest zabbix 4 version

    Hi there,

I'm following the instructions on the page https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../debian_ubuntu but when I check after issuing the upgrade command, I'm only getting the version:
    zabbix-server-mysql - 1:4.0.0rc3-1+stretch

    Interestingly after running the command
    dpkg -i zabbix-release_4.0-2+stretch_all.deb

I am not seeing the zabbix.list file in /etc/apt/soures.list.d/ either.

I've manually copied the zabbix.list file from the package and tried a fresh install but I'm still only getting the rc3 version.

    Any ideas anyone?

So I've just gone over to http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/4.0/de...main/z/zabbix/ and have downloaded the correct deb files and have installed them manually using "dpkg -i". Would really like to know why the upgrade via apt isn't working properly though.

Have you updated apt's cache after installing the latest version of zabbix-release package?

      ex.
      $ sudo apt update

    Hi Atushi,

Yes I did. As I said originally I followed through the instructions on the linked page. An apt/apt-get update is automatic to me (as I'm sure it is to you), but thanks for checking with me.

When referring first, were not the following packages?
      zabbix-release_4.0-1+stretch_all.deb

There is a problem, the following packages are released immediately after.
      zabbix-release_4.0-2+stretch_all.deb

    Hi Atushi,

Yes I realised that. So I re-did it with the latest ones before making this post. Same problem I'm afraid, hence me manually downloading the deb files. I was hoping that the actual release (as opposed to thr rc3 one) would fix the problem I am seing with dupilcate emails being sent but that is also still a problem.
