vSphere 6.0 monitoring with Zabbix 3.0.7 - Unknown hypervisor uuid

    Hello!

I'm having a hard time configuring Zabbix monitoring for vmware, I've been through the documentation (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../vm_monitoring) and it's partially working.

I've uploaded an screenshot of the host configuration, the IP that is shown is not the vCenter one, in fact is the same IP as the zabbix server which is running the check ups, as far as I'm concerned there is no need to install an agent in the vCenter machine. Later on I've applied the following templates "Template Virt Vmware" because the documentation said so: "Note that “Template Virt VMware” template should be used for VMware vCenter and ESX hypervisor monitoring. The “Template Virt VMware Hypervisor” and “Template Virt VMware Guest” templates are used by discovery and normally should not be manually linked to a host."

And finally I've added the macros as stated in the documentation, also find the image attached.

The result of this is that vCenter seems to get monitored without any further issues, it is able to discover the cluster and the ESXi host which resides on them. The main issue is that I can't get any data from any ESXi host, as you can see in the attached picture.

I've been reading some documentation and I feel I'm doing the things right, mainly because the discovery is being made (So there is no user/password issue) but I feel it is not appropiate to obtain the uuid of each ESXi host, as it loses the dynamism I wanted to achieve with Zabbix.

    Any ideas?

You must create a macro with UUID. You can find in https://youesxihost/mob/?moid=ha-host&doPath=hardware.systemInfo o connect to ssh with esxcfg-info -u |awk '{print tolower($0)}'
