Connection timeout of 3 seconds exceeded when connecting to Zabbix server "localhost"

Hello guys,

Please help me out on coming out of this problem.

On testing the email media type, i am getting this error "Connection timeout of 3 seconds exceeded when connecting to Zabbix server "localhost".".
Is there any additional configuration to be done. Have anyone faced this issue and got the solution.

What OS are you using? If you are trying to send mail using a mail server that is running locally, is it configured to allow name resolution with the host name localhost?
Depending on the environment and settings you are using, specifying localhost.localdomain as the SMTP server in the Email media settings may work.
