The only real way of mastering the JSONPath, is going head on. Challenge and Tackle makes practice.

Apologies for barging in here...
I think I am looking for assistance with this topic:
I am working with the entity and entitySensor MIBs and need to poll the entityMIB for the entPhysicalDesc i.e the name of the entity, and the then the entitySensor MIB contains the units and multipliers required to fully build an item.

I have no issue with custom LLD discovery, however, LLD macros make no sense to me in this application. The LLD macro builder asks for the {#MACRO} and then the JSONPath. How do I find the jsonpath, how do I even view the json data returned from a get request from Zabbix? I have seen several images which show commands like zabbix_get however they don't appear to be available from command line for me.

I have made a post post in the help section regarding this issue and no solution was posited, however I have seen some mention of LLD Macros being the solution - with no further explanation given.
