error "Cannot send request: wrong item type." when i press Check now button for item

with zabbix server 4.2.5 i try to make an item with this parameters:



i want to get a log from one of my zabbix-agents.

when i press the Check now button on an item tab i get an error message Cannot send request: wrong item type.

what am i doing wrong?

upd: I was wrong. Error is stil here.

The reason was I've set the wrong Hostname parameter in the /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf. The value should be the host name of a "host" in terms of Zabbix.

upd2: But the item seems to work.....

Did I understand correctly that the data element is working, but the "check now" button is not working? If Yes, then you are offered a version of why this is happening. You can find more details in the documentation. If not, just ignore what I wrote.
