    can't access zabbix frontend

Hey, so i try to install zabbix from source.. i follow step by step from this web, but in the end i can't access frontend zabbix to configure it. i check zabbix server log it says error because can't connect to local mysql server, is it the cause? or there's other problem?

i tried to follow this step, but i don't find my zabbix.conf, i try find it using 'find / -name zabbix.conf' it doesn't show up anything

omg i really don't know how to solve this and why?

    please help.. thank you.

btw i'm using ubuntu 18.04 and php 7.2,
i know i can install from repository but i have to monitor vcenter and from what i know it should be configure with libxml2 and libcurl, i try to install and configure libxml2 and libcurl but it's still failed. that's why i try to install from source maybe it will help me..

    sorry for my bad english.

The official Zabbix packages are built with support for libxml2 and and libcurl, and lots of other optional stuff. You do not need to compile from source if you want to monitor vCenter or other web-based APIs with Zabbix. You can use the official packages.

      thank you for your answer..

i want to ask another question, i already add esxi to my zabbix but it says "Received response has no valid XML data" do you know why?

i already add vmware collector to 5 (for now i just add 2 services), cache size, timeout and fill macros like URL, username and password. do you know where my mistake is?

i'm sorry if it too much to ask, i just started to learn monitoring vmware using zabbix..
Working...
