Zabbix-server doesn't start in CentOS 7

Hi,

I'm trying to setup Zabbix on CentOS 7 (inside a Virtual Machine). After installation, when I try to start zabbix-server (systemctl start zabbix-server.service), I receve this message:

Job for zabbix-server.service failed. See ‘systemctl status zabbix-server.service’ and ‘journalctl -xn’ for details.

But, zabbix-agent starts normally.

I'm getting a bit confused solving my problem. Can anyone help me or provide me some suggestions? I couldn't find much more on the internet, and the search.

Hi,

That problem is newer package of gnutls and trousers.
Can you try to downgrade package?

I downgraded to gnutls-3.1.18-10.el7_0.x86_64.rpm.

Please,

What command shoud I enter to downgrade gnutls?

I tried

yum downgrade gnutls-3.1.18-10.el7_0.x86_64.rpm

and it didn't work.

I had a similar problem.

Turned out that the systemd init script wasn't creating /var/run/zabbix every time and therefore wasn't able to store/init the PID file.
