    Times inconsistent across Zabbix platform

    Hi,

I am having an issue with actions being triggered when they should not be because of a maintenance window.

I have a feeling this is due to time inconsistencies somewhere, which is strange in its self too because this is not an issue that happens on other hosts.

I have come to the conclusion that there is some sort of time zone conversion inconsistency somewhere due to the following
    • there is a maintenance window from 8 - 10 AM with data collection
    • In the history graph of system uptime, I can see that the system in question, the one I am getting an alert for got restarted at 8.06AM I am quite sure this is reporting the right time in the right time zone because the end of the graph in "real-team" say, it's showing me the right time... now...

    • action log however is showing me a different time for the timestamp of the event (actual time +1h), and furthermore, the message uses the {EVENT.TIME} macro which is also showing a different time (actual time +2h)

    The setup is
    • Zabbix.conf if configure on UK timezone
    • haven't set a timezone for php.ini conf
    • The Linux server where Zabbix is running is on central EU time so the system time in the server is different from the time that Zabbix is configured on
    • The host that is reporting an alert is on UTC-6
    • We are running Zabbix server 5.0.4

Does this make sense? Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi all,

Any tips on the above? This continues to affect me.

I was trying to edit the post as there is some typos but could.

      I think I found the solution/reason.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but here the documentation seams to indicate that time zone must be consistent across Zabbix this must include the time on the host as well from my finding.
