MariaDB 10.1 to MariaDB 10.6

Hello together

I am trying to upgrade the database server from 10.1 to 10.6 in preparation for the upgrade to Zabbix 6.0.

No errors in /var/log/mysql/error.log

Found in /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log:

15198:20220329:135758.921 current database version (mandatory/optional): 05040000/05040001
15198:20220329:135758.921 required mandatory version: 05040000

Now I get the following error:


Zabbix Server Version: 5.4.11
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Based upon the information you've provided, I can't tell what you did as part of the backend database migration from 10.1 to 10.6, so it will mostly be guesses about what the problem is.

Did the database server hostname or IP address change as part of the migration? If so, did you update the front-end web interface config/zabbix.conf.php file with the updated host/IP and any other database connection changes?

No, I have not changed the IP.
I have one server running both Zabbix and mariadb.

Based on your answer it should be no problem to upgrade directly from 10.1 to 10.6?


Or does it need adjustments to the database?
