Zabbix VMware ESXi Monitoring

Hello,

I have a Zabbix Server 6.0.2 ad I would like to monitor my VMware ESXi servers ( running VMware ESXi, 6.7.0 )
Thgose ESX machine are running on HP hardware which I can monitor without problems using the HP Template for Zabbix.


I already have downloaded the latest template ( the template_app_vmware.yaml for Zabbix 6 ) for VMware and checked the Macros to adapt it to my configuration

I'm unable to retrieve some VMware info.

The error I receive is either "Couldn't resolve host name" or "Unknown hypervisor uuid"

I have tried with setting up the Host name as the UUID of the ESX, or either the FQDN of it but it doesn't change

Host name can be resolved from the Zabbix server.

I have also tried to change the "Config.HostAgent.plugins.solo.enableMob" to "true" on my ESXi server but still I cannot get any values.

I'm sure that I'm missing something but I can't find directly what.

Can someone has already have that issue and succeed with the monitoring ?

Hi,
Just to inform,
I have completely remove everything related to VMware in my config and perform the procedure below and "bingo", it works and starts monitoring the VMs
