Discard unchanged preprocessing fail

I'm collecting some values from an application script and discarding when unchanged.
Zabbix should save mostly 1 value per day, but it is storing the same value more than once.

The item has a flexible interval and a preprocessing step, "Discard Unchanged", but still, it is saving repeated values.





I'm trying to figure out why that is.
Any idea?

What is your Zabbix version, are you running the latest release of the major version?

When has the Zabbix server/proxy been restarted (maybe there is an in-memory dependency in this feature)?

It is version 6.2.1, the latest release.
The last reboot was about a week ago.
I'm not sure it will help, but I'll try rebooting the Proxys and servers.

Since you are "in the bleeding edge" you may want to open an issue in support.zabbix.com as well, and/or check the 6.2 series release notes if there is anything related.

Following your suggestion, I rebooted the environment and right after that a new value was collected by Zabbix.
The latest value was the same, but it was not discarded.
