Agent Not Available
Zabbix frontend shows mac machines it is supposed to be monitoring with a red ZBX symbol. When hovered over it says "Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to [[IP for the agent]:10050]: [111] Connection refused. I have the agent installed on the mac machine and it is running. The server is able to identify the device and recognize that the zabbix agent is installed but it cannot connect to the agent or get any data from it. I have tried other suggestions in the forums about this issue and nothing has worked so far. Maybe it is just because I am new to Zabbix but I figured I would make a post and ask for help.

From your zabbix server (or proxy) nmap (install if necessary) "nmap -p 10050 ip-for-agent". If nothing, you can't make a network connection from Zabbix to the host.
Is the port open to the zabbix server in the mac firewall? Are there any network firewalls?Comment

Did you observe /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log? you can do it with tail -f /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log
You might find some additional information WHY you cant connect with the agent.Comment
