problems with emails test

I did all the configurations to put an alert email but when trying to send a test didn´t work and here are the mistakes:

When I introduce username and password

Media test failed

Login denied

When I don´t put username and password in Media Type:

Test media type "Email"

Media test failed

Failed sending data to the peer: MAIL failed: 530

login denied explained it cant login to gmail.

u need to turn off the two step verification from gmail's setting

open gmail go to ur account > manage your google account > security >> Signing in to Google (app password) create a password for ur zabbix server ....

use this password for login .

This was very helpful and it worked, thank you. the location changed slightly. it still is in security but under 2-factor authentication.

Hi everyone,

I'm having a similar problem. The error is as follows. I use GMAIL as media type. the server accesses the internet.
note:
On the Gmail side, I enabled access to less secure applications. Additionally, MFA is active on the Gmail side.
The application password was defined by Gmail and entered into Zabbix.
