Discovery by Proxy not working

That's your problem then: the discovery job tries to connect to the agent, so if you haven't allowed passive checks in the agent, the discovery cannot find anything.

FYI - I just tried to telnet from the proxy to a server on port 10050 and it worked fine

Well then, do you have an item agent.host configured and working on the agent?

That was it! I had to change it to agent.hostname and then it started working. Learning from that I set up a bunch of other things and everything is working great now with discovery. Thanks so much!

Hi I am having this same issue and nothing seems to work, I have followed this post but I seem to be having a little bit of misunderstanding, where and what did you change to agent.hostname to get the discovery to work?
