    Dear All,

    I have zabbix 6.4.3 installed and working great
    I want to monitor my Forgate firewall 1500D so I need to import a templete since its not there with the zabbix install
    i download the template_fortigate_snmp.yaml from
    Fortinet monitoring and integration with Zabbix

    but when i try to import it it gives me the above error


    ​Appreciate you help and advice​.

    Whatever you saved... try again... and this time do not save the webpage but template source in yaml format.

      Thanks for the reply actually I managed to import the templete in zabix
      i download the raw file and then saved it

      But I am Now facing problem ro connect to my fortygate firewall
      iattached pic
      but from my zabbix server if i do a snmp walk its fine

      would highly appreciate your advice and help .. Is there we can find as to whats blocking in the firewall

        Does that {$SNMP_COMMUNITY1} have a value?

        I am not familiar with this template, so I cannot really help much here.. Just verify, if all the needed macros have values etc..

          u r right no macros have value and under inherited macros no macros can be seen,
          if you can advise me the right template to import for forty gate i really appreciate

            I don't know anything about fortigate stuff. But you should probably give values to those macros and you may get your results... Just like if you define community on command line, you need to define those for your templates/hosts also, otherwise it will not work.
