I have zabbix 2.4.2 installed and it's been working fine for a while. Suddenly I noticed that it has stopped sending notification / alerts email for over 36 hours which was resolved only after restarting zabbix-server service. No entries were logged in maillog even after restarting sendmail. Zabbix services were also running well before restart except for not being able to send email alerts. Actions in Events page had a "-". no errors, no OK
Having parsed the zabbix-server logs, I observed some MySQL deadlock errors for about an hour. Not sure if this is related and how?
Can someone help in understanding this abnormal behaviour?
