    Problem with Agent 2 Status

    Hi,

i am rolling out the Zabbix Agent 2 and found something strange.
The Agent ist configured for Active Checks and it works like a charm, but in the Frontend every Host discovered by Autoregistration shows the Agent Passive Checks as unavailiable and Active Checks as Availiable
But as in the Docs the Agent should be able to act in active and passive mode.
So what is going on ?

Simple, you have only active checks, thus, it shows that active checks avaialble. Add 1 passive check and also passive checks "become available".

      It's described here: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...hosts#overview

Basically, you need to remove the Agent interface and then the icon should become green. There is a change request for Zabbix to do that automatically, feel free to follow and vote: https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBXNEXT-8223

cyber Well adding a generic passive check did the trick, despite it makes sense and is kind a logic to display the host as unavail when an Agent Interface is set but no passive checks configured it is a confusing behavior as the Agent is availiable. :-)
