    Zabbix Sending Old Email Alerts Issue

    Hello,

    I'm currently experiencing an issue with my Zabbix system where it is sending old email alerts. I've gone through several troubleshooting steps, but I haven't been able to resolve the problem. I'm reaching out to the community for any insights or suggestions on how to fix this issue. Here's a summary of the problem and the steps I've taken so far:
    1. The Zabbix server time is correctly configured and synchronized with the correct time source.
    2. The email server settings in my Zabbix configuration have been double-checked, including the SMTP server, port, and credentials. The email server's time also appears to be accurate.
    3. I've reviewed the trigger conditions in my Zabbix configuration to ensure they accurately reflect the conditions I want to monitor.
    4. Zabbix server logs have been examined for any errors or warnings related to email alerts, but I didn't find any significant issues.

    I'm running Zabbix version 6.0.17, Is there any queue for mail client that used by Zabbix?

    If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot further , I would greatly appreciate your input. I would like to resolve this email alert issue and ensure that notifications are being sent promptly.

    It seems that your emails are not sent until 10 minutes after the event has started.
    What do you mean by "old email alerts"?

    When you open the event details, are the actions delayed?
    What does the action log show?

      I appreciate your reply.

      I understand that you are asking me to clarify what I mean by "old email alerts". I mean that the emails are being sent for events that happened in the past.

      I have tried to open the event details, but I am unable to do so because they are too old. I can only show the oldest 20 events.

      I have attached two images to this email from action log and received message for this event. The first image shows the event details sent on 16/9/2023. The second image shows the email that I received for this event. As you can see, the email was received yesterday.

      I would appreciate it if you could provide me with a way to show all old events so that I can troubleshoot this issue further.

        You should be able to search for older events in the Problems tab.
        The default event data retention period is 365d, if I'm not mistaken. Is yours less than that?

        It seems that the action log shows that the report was sent on Sep 16th.
        So is there a possibility that your email provider was delaying delivery of the message?​
        Can you find other action logs for the same problem ID?
