Housekeeper: History and Trend - a time unit is expected

    Hello,

I am running Zabbix 6.0.5 on Ubuntu 22.04 and cannot configure a longer storage period for "History" and "Trend". I want to keep 5 years of data for dashboard usage so that users can view graphs with a longer time range. So i changed the settings to "5y" and left all other values as defeault. In the manual there is the information, that i can use time suffixes: 1 General (zabbix.com)
And after setting my values i get this error:
    Cannot update configuration
Incorrect value for field "hk_trends": a time unit is expected.
Incorrect value for field "hk_history": a time unit is expected.

What is wrong here? If I use the value "1825d" it's working. I have nothing similar found that could help in this case. I hope anyone can help here.

    Best regards, Michael

You point out that you can use time suffixes, but instantly fail to read the page about those suffixes.. https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...#time-suffixes
Trend/history period setting is not a "trend function"...
Eventho... it would be nice for "y" to work there...

      Hello,

i have nothing missed or failed to read. In the documentation there is the information I CAN use suffixes like "d" or "w" up to 25 years. And this should be "25y" and not 5x52w or 5x365d. "60M" instead of "5y" is also NOT working.
And here is the screenshot from the documentation:

Well that's the point I aimed for.. you can use "d" or "w" up to 25 years... not "y"... 25 years being here the maximum amount that Zabbix is working with... and you should define 1 year as 52w or 365d etc.. Want 5 years? Use 1825d or 260w...

Click on that "Time suffixes" link there and it shows you that M and y are only usable in "trend functions"...

As I said, it would be nice for "y" (and "M") to work also in config, but its not implemented in some reason, you can rise a request for that -> https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBXNEXT

OK, I understand. But maybe the documentation should be more clear in first step. When there is an additional information for ONLY using "d" and "w" and not as an example. The wording in this case would be a first step to a solution.

          Thank you!
