Zabbix with remote postgres

Hi, maybe someone will have a clue what is going on:

I can connect via psql to remote DB as per:



But on frontend I get:

Have you installed pgsql php extension?

yes, I had php-pgsql installed, even tried adding extension=php_pgsql.so to php.ini

but what solved my issue was installing pgadmin on zabbix server, connecting it to zabdb without issues, and then zabbix setup successfully connected to remote db

Installing pgadmin probably updated something on your server, thus fixing your issue... I doubt there is anything in zabbix server that really relates to pgadmin.

I totally agree! But apparently the man did not want to understand the reasons....
