delay on zabbix alerts

Dear sirs,

Please note that we are using Zabbix to monitoring our links. the problem is that there's a lot of delay to display the trigger alert on zabbix dashboard ex: suddenly the trigger shows an alert that has been occuring 16 hours ago. Please advise Thank you in advance

first check if the item Update interval is not over 30 sec
second - provok a trigger and see if you see its alert on zabbix log

like this : Reports -> Action log to see if it fires an email\sms (if set to)

is zabbix loading slowly for you ? if your opening latest data for a large host
is it takes more then 10 sec ?
