Unable to install zabbix on Ubuntu 24.04

I've built a new Ubuntu server 24.04 LTS and followed the installation instructions.

When I try and install the zabbix-server-mysql package I get a dependency error:

zabbix-server-mysql : Depends: libldap-2.5-0 (>= 2.5.4) but it is not installable

I've got libldap 2.6.7. installed:

root@zabbix:/home/greg# dpkg -l | grep libldap
ii libldap-common 2.6.7+dfsg-1~exp1ubuntu8 all OpenLDAP common files for libraries

Any ideas how to solve this error?

I fixed this. Would help if I read correctly. I downloaded the Zabbix version for Ubuntu 22.04 instead of 24.04

Are you certain you downloaded the correct package(s) from www.zabbix.com ? It seems like you may have had the wrong version of Ubuntu selected from the "what do you want" download selector.

There is a error in de download wizzard.

If you select 7.2 => Ubuntu => 24.4 Noble => Agent
The folow file will be download: wget https://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/7.2/r...u22.04_all.deb

change to:

wget https://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/7.2/r...u24.04_all.deb
