I need to upgrade Zabbix5LTS to a newer version, due to potential vulnerabilities in the near future...
old server: rhel 8 + zabbix 5lts + mariadb 10.3
new server: rhel 9 + zabbix 7lts + mariadb 10.5
I tried fresh install os + zabbix7lts + db export/import.
Everything looked OK until the new day came and monitoring stopped working. According to the logs I saw that the problem is because the partitioning was set on the old db, but I no longer have the script or the values in it.
Can someone please help me what to do?
The only thing I need to solve at the moment is to upgrade zabbix from version 5 lts to a newer one, due to ending support and internal rules in the company.
Is there a possibility that I just uninstall zabbix5 itself and install the new zabbix6/7 on the main server and do nothing with the db?
