Hi all - first post; working through setting up a remote proxy to a centralized zabbix server for data processing. It's been going well - learning a lot, but I'm stuck on the SNMP Trapper process at the remote proxy location.
Just to confirm - it IS INDEED possible to have the remote SNMP devices send their traps to the the onsite zabbix proxy device, then have the centralized Zabbix server query / collect the remote proxy unit for it's stored SNMP traps -- right??
When I define the SNMP TRAP device on the centralized Zabbix - I'm using the address of the proxy unit at the remote site...
Is there some value in a .conf file on the proxy to specific for SNMP Trapper to send it's data to the centralized server or is it that the centralized Zabbix server is pulling those traps from the remote proxy?
