Zabbix 7.2 does not work with grafana

Hello, I installed the latest version of Zabbix (7.2) on all the company's production hosts. When trying to integrate with Grafana (latest version), after adding and enabling the plugin in its latest version, I get the following error: "Invalid request. Invalid parameter "/": unexpected parameter "auth"

I sought help from the plugin and Grafana support, but they told me it was a Zabbix problem, that version 7.2 should not be used. (https://github.com/grafana/grafana-zabbix/issues/1914)

So what do I do now? If version 7.2 should not be used, why is it available for download on the website? I had a lot of work installing and configuring all the Zabbix agents on all the servers.

So people can try and test possible new features prior to release. The website clearly says it's a pre-release version, so you properly got a response from Grafana community that 7.2 Zabbix is not production version atm.

The problem continued with the release of the version.

Now it's on products side to update API integration to adhere to 7.2 changes (first change in changelog)

You do understand, that Grafana plugin is NOT maintained by Zabbix.... ?

Just remove it then, saying that "we don't care"

cherkana i honestly lost on your logic. The integration is designed and supported by non-affiliated to Zabbix person. Zabbix team collected information about all such integrations so people can easily find them.

Now, the change to auth process was done in version 6.4 where they set 'auth' parameter as deprecated, but still supported it for compatibility reasons. It was on 6th of march 2023.
With 7.2 they finally removing the deprecated param. In Dec 2024.
So Grafana plugin maintainer had 1.5+ years to update code to support new authentication model. Which seemingly was not done.

How come it is Zabbix side problem in your eyes?

The problem has been fixed, you need to update the plugin to version 4.6
