    1.4: zabbix_server dies

    Hi,

I was configuring zabbix 1.4. Everything was fine until I enabled web monitoring (just 1 scenario with 1 step).

If I enable it, the server dies few seconds latter (see the attached log).

If the scenario is enabled and I try to restart zabbix_server it dies few seconds latter. Then, if I disable the scenario and try to restart, it works well.

    More information

I was doing more tests, and I discovered that the problem maybe not related with web monitoring.

As I said, I disabled the scenario that I thought was causing the problem. Then zabbix started to work again. So I left zabbix running while I was dealing with other activities...

After some time, I returned to zabbix configuration. So I created another scenario. This time everyting worked well. The server didn't died.

So I enabled the "old" scenario, and, surprise, it worked.

I was looking the log that I attached before, and now I think that the problem may be related with housekeeping. I configured it to run every 4 hours.

I have a similar problem - the server dies at creation (activation) of the script of web monitoring.

However, there is no dependence on quantity of scripts - if even one is active, the server falls.

Zabbix on SuSE Linux Enterprice Server 10 with Postrgresql and Curl support.
