Problems on linux install !

hello,
I am a newbe on Linux, i must install and try zabbix for my company.

I work on linux mandrake 9.2.
I have uncompressed files in files:/home/my_name/Documents/zabbix-1.0/...

I have followed the manual as much as possible with my knowledge,
in zabbix directory i have done ./configure --with-mysql --with-snmp which had worked well, i follow the message and do a simple "make"
But after the make nothing goes outside of zabbix directory, then i copy myself the files in the directories of the manual to complete it.
I launch suckerd and trapperd, and try to get zabbix by konqueror but host missing, apache is correctly running.

Could you help me please, i have broke out the 15 minutes amx install time i believe

EDIT: I have found another manual more simple for me , everything is working on the server side , i'm still trying to connect to the client !

Please check the conf files, if they have the hostname in them.

Thanks, I resolved this problem by myself yesterday but i still have some troubles:

1/ apache processes not detected when the apache server is running, i can reach it by konqueror
2/ No mail coming to mailbox for alarms (did not have any alert yet), maybe a problem in the smtp helo ( i didn't really understand what it is)
