I have clients yelling at me because they are all recieving alerts meant for other clients!!!! I have one client who is recieving alerts about a server down when they are only listed on an alert that fires when their own server has less than 20% disk space !!!
It's costing me a fortune in overtime just to firefight the alerts, let alone any problems causing them. Over 30 have gone to the wrong people tonight alone !!!
WHAT IS GOING ON !!!!!
The logic says...
(A) and (B) and (C or D)
(A) Host group = "CLIENTA"
(B) Trigger = "<20% disk space on C"
(C) Trigger value = "TRUE"
(D) Trigger value = "FALSE"
SO WHY ARE THEY GETTING THIS?
<CLIENTB_HOST1>.Ping to server: OFF
Date: 2007.08.31
Time: 22:41:53
ID: 110636
This alert was raised by "<CLIENTA> - Disk space <20%"
Note how the alert is being fired when CLIENTB_HOST1 is not responding, yet the alert "<CLIENTA> - DISK SPACE <20%", as mentioned above, only looks for a trigger of "<20% disk space" ????????
To make it worse, I have posted all over the place about this and apparently no one has any help about it!?!??!
