Hi

I have problem with monitoring network interface in hpux 11.23.
I have lan0, lan1 but hp-ux template in zabbix agent for hpux11.23 is eth0 eth1
and this item is "Not supported by ZABBIX agent"

Hi,

Just wondering if you had any news on your post. I have managed to make it
work under Solaris by cloning the items incoming/outgoing traffic on eth0.
Then you can replace the NIC name to the one that the system uses and the status changes to Active.

However the same approach has not helped on HP-UX (PA-RISC or IA64)

zabbix agent does not support mionitoring of LAN interfaces on HPUX

try this as user parameter - you can put it ito a shell script (ksh):

parameter 1 is either net.packets.in or net.packets.out and parameter two is the name of the interface

  net.packets.in)
    raw=`netstat -in | grep -e "^$2 " | awk '{print $5}'`
    echo $raw
    ;;
  net.packets.out)
    raw=`netstat -in | grep -e "^$2 " | awk '{print $7}'`

Please help me to.monitor hpux network interface on ia64 hpux 11.31 its visible in zabbix with correct name lan900 but showing not supported :-(
