Creating templates
This section contains official Zabbix template writing guidelines and reflects our current approach to template building. It is a set of recommendations and best practices developed over the years of template-building experience. We do not claim that every Zabbix template should fit into these guidelines, but we do believe that sharing the same approach helps create well-working unified templates.
How to work with this section:
- We recommend reading Key principles before you begin working on your first template. The page contains general insights on Zabbix approach to template building.
- Use configuration section for specific instructions on configuring a template and it's items, triggers, discovery rules, and graphs.
- Before uploading a template to the Community repository, make sure that it meets all Community template requirements.
