Way to receive alerts when event is ack'd?

This question might be trivial, but what I'm trying to make is an action that will mail when an event is ack'd, with comment.

1. So something goes booboo -> mail alert

2. Engineer still has to pay a big bill at the bar and ack's the alert ->...

I've configured triggers in Zabbix to send notification mails and it works fine.
But is there a way to limit the number of outgoing notification mails within a given time frame (e.g. 50 mails/day)?

Okey, first of all I wanna say,
a smtp server should be a part of the zabbix server, incase of connection losses the server will still be able to send out alerts.

But anyway, i have been trying for a week now to get my server to send email notification, i have tryed to run a script...
