I'm using Juniper - RPM SLA templet to monitor Paketloss and RTT.
the Packetloos using the templet is juniper.ipsla.loss[{#ADVSNMPINDEXTEXT2}] SNMP OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.50.1.2.1.4.{#ADVSNMPINDEX2}

the problem that i facing is that this SNMP look like doing snmpwalk...

Hi All,

for our infrastructure environment we are trying to build rpm packages for Red Hat 5.
With Red Hat 6 we have build the newest packages without any problem but with Red Hat 5 we are receiving this kind of problem with dependencies:

I am using RPM version of Zabbix 2.2.3. I have just updated the rpm to 2.2.5. I would like to ask if new version having database schema changes, will the rpm upgrade auto change it as well?

I am planning to deploy zabbix as production, so I would like to know using rpm...

If one want to use an Oracle database as backend one need to have ZABBIX compiled with Oracle support which is described here:
http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15145

Because the ZABBIX web interface is PHP driven one need to have support for Oracle in PHP as well.

I've heard that versions before PHP 5.2 can have problems with hosting the Web UI. Is this the case? It works fine for me but I'm working on RPMs that other people use so it matters if users beyond myself may have problems. I'd go with 5.2 anyway but it's not in the default Centos repos or the RPMForge...

I just built some Zabbix 1.8.1 RPMs built for CentOS (32 and 64bit) and RHEL in my repository if anyone would like to use 'em. I welcome feedback, and make patches regularly based on feedback/input.

Updated Jan 8, 2010: Fixed all problems everyone has complained about here, and in my blog. In summary: Added zabbix-proxy support, fixed 64-bit missing repodata, fixed file permissions, fixed problem with upgrading the package (thanks Tim!) added curl support (web scenarios work now, yay!).
