    Different Enviroments, using proxy?

    hi,

my actual setup, i have 3 enviroments (dev, test, prod) connecting all to the same zabbix server directly. My problem is now, that if some hosts in the test enviroment are not responsive and queuing data, some checks in my prod env. also not respond.

    My question:
Is it useful to use a proxy in my dev and test env?
Does a proxy solve this problem?

i would suggest that in the new setup the proxy queuing the checks and i have no problem on my prod env. Is that right?

it depends on what is the cause of the problem. if it's pollers being busy, then yes, a proxy might help. just raising the poller count might help as well.

to figure that out, you should monitor process busy % - you can find an example template at http://blog.zabbix.com/monitoring-ho...-processes-are

you also didn't mention zabbix version - running latest stable would be suggested.

      thanks for that reply.

i´m using 1.8.4 server at the moment, so i have no "process busy %" now.
actually i have 70 pollers configured, so i think this is not really the problem.

i want to set up a complete new infrastructure with zabbix 2.0 so i want to plan it.

i think the proxy solution will help us in the best way.
