Proxy configuration

Hi!

I am a newbie on Zabbix. So my apologies for silly questions and if it is a duplicated topic!
I have a Zabbix Server running fine in my organization capturing information from three servers. So far, so good...

Now, what I want is to configure the proxy server to capture information from customers servers.

My problem is precisely the configuration of the proxy server.. I have read very tutorials and tried to configure it but something is missing..

Where can I read all the information I need (step-by-step)?
Or better.. Anyone with a identical scenario that could teach me?

What version of Zabbix are you using?

When you say "customer servers", do you mean on a separate network from your Zabbix server?

Is there a firewall or DMZ that has to be taken into consideration?

I have a firewall FortiGate-80C that I have already configured (ports 10050 and 10051 are open).

Next steps would be to ensure that the proxy is talking to the Zabbix server.
Go to Configuration --> DM. Have you configured a proxy there? (Create proxy)
If you already have and you have the top right dropdown set to "proxies" (Not Nodes) then you should see when it last checked in with the Zabbix server under the column "Last seen (age)"

If you don't have that, then there is no communication between the proxy and Zabbix server. Then it would be time to visit your zabbix_proxy.conf file on your Proxy server as well as seeing what is in your zabbix_proxy.log file.
