create.sql.gz: No such file or directory

I've donwloaded the zabbix 3.4 ubuntu version to install it in raspberry pi, but during the instalation it couldn't find - > create.sql.gz: No such file or directory.
I've searched for the file, and it wasn't downloaded.

    I've followed the instructions step-by-step.

    pi@raspberrypi:/usr/local/src $ ls -la /usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql/
    total 284
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 16 12:34 .
    drwxr-xr-x 1405 root root 53248 Mar 16 12:34 ..
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 15591 Jun 4 2017 changelog.Debian.gz
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 189330 Dec 21 2016 changelog.gz
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8446 Aug 12 2016 copyright
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1212 Jun 5 2016 NEWS.Debian.gz
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1096 Mar 27 2014 README.Debian

Where I can download it seperatly, so I can finish the installation?

The documentation is incorrect (possibly depending on the flavour of Debian you are using):

"https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/4.0/manual/installation/install_from_packages/debian_ubuntu#importing_data" states to go to path: '/usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql/create.sql.gz', however I have no file of this name anywhere on the system. Instead I found the files (data.sql.gz images.sql.gz schema.sql.gz) in '/usr/share/zabbix-server-mysql' which appears to follow the same method as for proxy.

    I am using Kali linux [Linux Sentinel 4.16.0-kali2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.16.12-1kali1 (2018-05-28) x86_64 GNU/Linux]

Follow the instructions here: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...importing_data to point "Creating database" then:

    cd /usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql/
    zcat ./schema.sql.gz | mysql -uzabbix -p zabbix
    zcat ./images.sql.gz | mysql -uzabbix -p zabbix
    zcat ./data.sql.gz | mysql -uzabbix -p zabbix

    Try to go from there.....

I apologize for the necro, but this thread is the first result for this issue on google:

        THE SOLUTION

Certain files are not where they are supposed to be after installing zabbix-server-mysql and zabbix-frontend-php if `apt update` is not ran after installing the zabbix package. Remember to run `apt update` immediately after `dpkg -i /path/to/package.deb` and BEFORE `apt install zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php`.

The reason for this is that installing the Zabbix package makes changes to your systems repos, so you need to update the list of available packages to use the new repository.

          The command is indeed wrong.

I found that the files are not in the location described in the tutorial. They are stored here:
          /usr/share/zabbix-server-mysql/

          So the command should be:
          zcat /usr/share/zabbix-server-mysql/schema.sql.gz | mysql -uzabbix -p zabbix

I have also stumbled on this error with the wrong path, so I have documented everything in this guide for Rasbian OS:
            https://bestmonitoringtools.com/how-...y-pi-raspbian

            I hope it helps.

i am on Fedora 30, and there is no such a file, not anywhere
in /usr/share/ there is a zabbix folder and zabbix-mysql folder
              in /usr/share/doc/ there is also a zabbix folder zabbix-agent, zabbix-release, and zabbix-server
              locate create.sql
has an empty result, how to proceed?

There is no installation packet for Fedora on offical Zabbix site. You can compile Zabbix on Fedora or install Zabbix on another OS using this step-by-step guides: CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, Rasbian.

dear, you can use the guide for rhel8, and from experience fedora is the best distro! don't want the paranoid arclinux, the disbelievers of opensuse, the profanity of centos, the trolls of ubuntu, did i miss any ?

You can't use Rhel8 guide for fedora 30, I try that already, you must compile Zabbix on Fedora. BTW, Debian is the best ! (I m inviting trolls lol)

Problem is dpkg exclude list, so:

                    nano /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/excludes
                    and comment doc exclude

                    # Drop all man pages
                    path-exclude=/usr/share/man/*

                    # Drop all translations
                    path-exclude=/usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/*.mo

                    # Drop all documentation ...
                    path-exclude=/usr/share/doc/*

                    # ... except copyright files ...
                    path-include=/usr/share/doc/*/copyright

                    # ... and Debian changelogs
                    path-include=/usr/share/doc/*/changelog.Debian.*

And comment third drop, so after comment this file should look like this:

                    # Drop all man pages
                    path-exclude=/usr/share/man/*

                    # Drop all translations
                    path-exclude=/usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/*.mo

                    # Drop all documentation ...
                    #path-exclude=/usr/share/doc/*

                    # ... except copyright files ...
                    path-include=/usr/share/doc/*/copyright

                    # ... and Debian changelogs
                    path-include=/usr/share/doc/*/changelog.Debian.*

                    Next install or reinstall
                    apt reinstall zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php zabbix-apache-conf zabbix-agent

and we have our file in: /usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql*/create.sql.gz

for Ubuntu 20.04 you should to edit file
                        Code:
                        /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/excludes
                        Please do next:
                        Code:
                        nano /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/excludes
                        or
                        Code:
                        vi /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/excludes
                        and comment next:
                        Code:
                        # Drop all documentation ...
                        path-exclude=/usr/share/doc/*
                        to
                        Code:
                        # Drop all documentation ...
                        #path-exclude=/usr/share/doc/*
then you need to reinstall zabbix packages for example
                        Code:
                        apt reinstall zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php zabbix-apache-conf zabbix-agent
after that you will have files in
                        Code:
                        /usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql/create.sql.gz

I'm getting the same issue here at Zabbix(MySQL)5.2 running on Ubuntu 18.04.

I do not have any file at the
                          Code:
                          /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d
                          so no excludes here.

                          Any idea?
