How can i stop Zabbix alerts if Zabbix loses connectivity

Does anyone know how I can turn off zabbix alerts if Zabbix loses connectivity?

Is it possible to stop Zabbiz Alerts when no gateway

Is it possible to prevent Zabbix alerts when its own gateway is down. i.e. if our Internet fails we get loads of alerts, so we need Zabbix to be clever enough to know its Internet is down and stop alerting.

Are you worried about alerts on the zabbix server, or more in regards to notifications?

The easiest way I can think to just shut off notifications, would be to setup a trigger that fires when your internet is down (maybe a check on google.com or something) then configure your notifications to not fire when that trigger is active.

Otherwise if you want to just make it so the alerts don't fire on the zabbix server, you could do the same thing but you would need to make all your other triggers that fire when the internet goes down be dependent on the trigger I described above.

Thanks. Yes its the email alerts I want to stop rather than the Zabbix alerts. I have looked but not really sure how to set it up though
