I am running Zabbix Server 1.8.3 which is monitoring many servers with little to no issue. The problem I seem to be running into is that one of our triggers is being set off (accurately) but the alert is told not to notify if the time is within 1-7,06:00-09:00. Regardless of this fact, we are getting daily notifications that there is an issue during this period.
I have tried setting the alert to only notifying if it is during the time period of 1-7, 09:00-11:59 and that has not solved the issue either.
I created a trapper item on the server that runs between 1-7, 05:00-09:00 and it is set as a dependency on the trigger that is causing the false alerts. This has not prevented the daily alerts during the planned downtime for this specific system.
I have rebuilt the item, trigger, and alert from scratch as well, and still the problem persists. All of the steps appear to be working correctly and accurately, but I cannot get the system to prevent alerting during that specific period.
I'm not sure what other ways I can tell the system not to notify during that specific period, but am definitely open to other options. Also, is this something that could be solved simply by moving to a newer version of Zabbix?
