Zabbix Appliance migration

Hi Experts,

We use Zabbix 3.2 appliance for monitoring our infra, i saw it somewhere its not good to use appliance to monitor prod devices (What do you think ?).
So i am planning to migrate our appliance to server based zabbix.
Zabbix Appliance 3.2 --> Zabbix Server 4.4

What will be the steps involved in order to migrate all data (Devices, Template, items, triggers etc) from appliance to server based zabbix ?

I am in search of this info as well.
I am using the 4.0 appliance, and plan to spin up a proper server to run it.

In my mind it is quite easy but long process.
1) Stop old server and export data:
- stop appliance (zabbix agent, zabbix server)
- export MySQL database
- stop MySQL daemon
2) Start and preconfigure new server
- install & update new server
- install Zabbix Agent, Zabbix Server, Zabbix WEB frontend, etc
- transfer exported DB to new server.
- Stop all Zabbix daemons
- Import zabbix DB and restart MySQL daemon. Check and fix any errors
- start server and check that server starts without any error
- start Agent, check web access
- Login to frontend and do final checks

Keep old appliance backup and exported DB until final steps of installation on new server.
NB! I assume that new server will use same IP and same FQDN to avoid any additional configuration of local agents.

Do you think there is any benefit with zabbix server over zabbix appliance ?
